Virtual Reality

Virtual Reality is central to our design process on all projects. We can also offer Virtual Reality tours for developers, councils and any other business that want to show their installations in an immersive and innovative way

“The VR allows us to bring a development alive. In a way it’s like taking the purchaser to the movies and selling them their dream. With competition in every sector of business, using VR gives the developer an advantage on house sales and also it’s a great design tool if used early in the process”

Passive House Design

At C60 we know all about this amazing standard of building. Let us explain why we believe in it so much…. The Passive House concept represents today’s highest energy standard with the promise of slashing the heating energy consumption of buildings by an amazing 90%.

A Passive House is a very well-insulated, virtually air-tight building that is primarily heated by passive solar gain and by internal gains from people, electrical equipment, etc. Energy losses are minimized. Any remaining heat demand is provided by an extremely small source. An energy recovery ventilator provides a constant, balanced fresh air supply. The result is an impressive system that not only saves up to 90% of space heating costs, but also provides a uniquely terrific indoor air quality.

Conservation

Stemming from Belfast Architects C60’s ethos of sustainable design, we understand the value of our built heritage. C60 founder Roger Perrott has completed the Royal Society of Ulster Architects conservation architecture course and is accredited on the Royal Institute of British Architects register of Conservation Architects. Roger is a past board member of Institute of Historic Conservation and a member of the Ulster Architectural Heritage Society (UAHS) is also a member of the RIBA Conservation Register steering group. C60 Limited is listed in the Environment and Heritage Service Directory of Traditional Building Skills.

C60 Director Alan Ritchie is a certified Passivhaus designer specialising in upgrading historic building fabric to exceed current building regulations and meet the challenges of the 21st Century.
